Susan talks about her time with the Irish Hospice Foundation, including the development of bereavement services, the development of projects like the book 'Irish Stories of Loss and Hope' and the Bereavement Pin. Susan also talks about her early involvement with the bereavement workshops and working with Dr Therese Brady and she talks about the work of raising public awareness of the bereavement process and her work in developing training for Irish professionals in complicated grief.

The Library was named after Thérèse Brady, Director of Postgraduate Training in Clinical Psychology at UCD who developed the Irish Hospice Foundation Bereavement Services in the late 1980s. On her death, Therese’s books on bereavement theory were donated to the Irish Hospice Foundation and the library was developed around this core collection.
