Subject

Presentations and recordings from the Palliative care for all 'Bridging the Gap' conference 2012

Description

The first national conference organised under the Irish Hospice Foundation's Palliative Care for All programme took place on Friday 14th September 2012 in the Royal College of Physicians (RCPI) Dublin. The programme covered plenary sessions addressing the international perspectives and findings from the Irish Hospice Foundation palliative care action research projects in Heart Failure and Respiratory Disease. In the afternoon the concurrent workshops in dementia, heart failure and respiratory disease gave delegates the opportunity to focus specifically on the application of palliative care for these particular diseases. 175 delegates attended representing a cross section of health care professionals, and due to space restrictions unfortunately we were not able to register all those interested in attending.
