The purpose of this review is to gather the evidence on how design and configuration of facilities can be supportive to dignity and privacy around death in hospital, and to determine if in fact these improvements  are cost-effective and produce a positive return on the investment. ]]></dcterms:abstract>

Delegates included policy-makers in the fields of health and in particular in the area of palliative care; planners and providers of services for older people; planners and<br />
providers of health at a national and regional level; older people, representatives of older people and carers; and researchers with an interest in ageing, service planning<br />
