                  <text>The bereavement pin was developed by Dr Susan Delaney, Irish Hospice Foundation  Bereavement Services Manager. It was based on similar concept developed in Australia. The pin was designed by jewellery designer , Alan Ardiff  and manufactured by jeweller Don McManus.&#13;

The pin was launched in April 2009 by Pat Kenny. It was made available at no charge to hospice and bereavement groups and sold through the Kilkenny Design shops. IHF also commissioned 20 limited edition silver pins which were given to IHF Board members and people who had made a significant contribution to the work of IHF.  &#13;
