The forum on end-of-life in Ireland aimed to engage the Irish public in a national conversation about death and dying.
The forum on end-of-life project began in 2009 with the forum on end-of-life consultations.
The forum on end-of-life programme also initiated a conference to be held every two years to continue engaging the Irish public, health and social care professionals in issues related to death dying and bereavement.

• Forum 2011 chaired by the Chairperson of the National Council of the Forum on End of Life, Mrs Justice Catherine McGuinness. Taoiseach Enda Kenny launched the Think Ahead programme at this conference.
