    <dcterms:subject><![CDATA[Visiting professorship in Hospice Studies ]]></dcterms:subject>
    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Following a number of proposals from the Irish Hospice Foundation research committee and Irish Universities  on the development of a visiting professorship in Hospice Studies an appointment was made in November 2005.   <br />
Medical sociologist Professor David Clark, a lecturer and researcher at Lancaster University and founder of the International Observatory on End of Life Care. Professor Clark was also Director of the Institute for Health Research.  <br />
The professorship was co-hosted by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Trinity College Dublin and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at University College Dublin and funded by IHF for three years. <br />
During his visiting professorship Dr Clark delivered a number of lectures, was involved in reviewing IHF research grant applications and supported development and expansion of IHF education programmes.   ]]></dcterms:description>
